The Woodbridge Child Center was created by parents in 1995 in response to a need in Woodbridge and the surrounding communities for a comprehensive, high quality, full-time early care and education program that fostered individual development, optimal growth and the realization of each child’s potential to be a responsive and responsible human being. More than 20 years later we continue to provide a strong foundation for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years at our NAEYC accredited, State of Connecticut licensed non-profit program.
At the Center, education is a process that focuses on individual growth and development, creativity and hands-on interaction. We meet each child’s emotional, physical and intellectual needs through a stimulating and well planned environment with a variety of daily activities. Children are encouraged to make choices and share their feelings with staff and playmates.
Our curriculum meets the rigorous standards set forth by the Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards (CT ELDS) and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). NAEYC Accreditation is a voluntary, comprehensive process of self assessment and continuous quality improvement. Woodbridge Child Center meets all ten of the research-based NAEYC early childhood program standards. Click here to learn more about our curriculum.
