Woodbridge Child Center!
Welcome to the Woodbridge Child Center!
Please note: The center has been in operation through the pandemic. We remained open to serve children of essential workers. We have done this with an abundance of caution including wearing masks (teachers and children 3 and up), limiting outside visitors, and cleaning and sanitizing. As the state begins to reopen, our goal is to continue being open and following guidelines outlined by the Office of Early Childhood, the CDC and the Connecticut Health Department. We have been doing virtual tours and very limited in-person tours. Some of our programs have been put on hold and will resume with the health crisis is over. Please feel free to contact us through our website if you have any questions or wish to schedule a tour. Stay safe.
Now Enrolling! Click here to contact us for more information and schedule a tour! Open Monday to Friday 7:30 am – 6:00 pm. We are currently enrolling for our Toddler, Preschool and Pre-K rooms!
The Woodbridge Child Center was created by parents in 1995 in response to a need in Woodbridge and the surrounding communities for a comprehensive, high quality, full-time early care and education program that fostered individual development, optimal growth and the realization of each child’s potential to be a responsive and responsible human being. More than 20 years later we continue to provide a strong foundation for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years at our NAEYC accredited, State of Connecticut licensed non-profit program.
At the Center, education is a process that focuses on individual growth and development, creativity and hands-on interaction. We meet each child’s emotional, physical and intellectual needs through a stimulating and well planned environment with a variety of daily activities. Children are encouraged to make choices and share their feelings with staff and playmates.
Our curriculum meets the rigorous standards set forth by the Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards (CT ELDS) and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). NAEYC Accreditation is a voluntary, comprehensive process of self assessment and continuous quality improvement. Woodbridge Child Center meets all ten of the research-based NAEYC early childhood program standards. Click here to learn more about our curriculum.
